Mr Motloung completed his Baccalaureus in Accounting from the University of the Free State 2003. He started his career in 2004 at PKF Chartered Accountants where he completed his audit articles in 2007. He joined the Free State Department of 最新麻豆原创 in February 2008 as Assistant Director: Financial Analysis and Compliance. He was promoted to the position of the Deputy Director in 2010 and he became the Director: Financial Accounting in 2013. In 2020 he was transferred to the office of Internal Control.

Mr Motloung qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA) and as Independent Reviewer under the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) in 2011. His passion for being an anti-fraud and corruption lead him to pursue a qualification as Fraud Examiner, of which he obtained his designation as Certified Fraud Examiner under the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) in 2019. He is also a PSIRA registered Grade A security officer.

He has experience of over 20 years in private and public sector which included experience in audit, financial accounting, compliance, supply chain, risk management, governance, systems, theft and losses, prevention and detection of unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and fraud. He has served the Free State Department of 最新麻豆原创 for 17 years.

His main role under the National 最新麻豆原创 Insurance is to put controls and measures in place to limit the impact of risk and fraud in the operations of the fund, and to ensure elements of fraud and corruption are prevented, detected, investigated and reported to relevant authorities for further handling.
